  22. Parental Alienation Syndrome (PAS)
    The Parental Alienation Syndrome (PAS) is a very specific subtype of Parental Alienation, which arises primarily in the context of child custody disputes. According to Dr. Richard Gardner, PAS is made up of two very distinctive factors; (1) "brainwashing" by one parent to denigrate the other parent and (2) unjustified, self-created, and denigrating contributions by the child towards the target (alienated) parent.
